Build the Shed 2022 Annual Campaign
We are excited to announce our Build The Shed 2022 campaign. Your donations will allow more children of all abilities and backgrounds to join our inclusive theatre programs, in part, by eliminating financial barriers to participation.
Whether you can give $5 or $5,000 your support goes towards building our participation, our diversity, our supporters, our audience, our social media presence, our brand, our outreach, our influence, our connections, our community and our future.

Your donations are used for Chickenshed NYC projects, initiatives, or programs intended to grow, diversify, and engage the organization’s membership and audiences, including:
Program Subsidies and Discounts: where more young people may take advantage of reduced and discounted fees, thus allowing for a broader and diverse community of participants.
Outreach Initiatives: paying for the costs of programs, marketing efforts, and other projects which focus on growing our membership and audiences.
Training and Professional Development: supporting the costs of creating and adapting programs, training new teaching artists, or providing professional development opportunities for staff members.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Projects: financing the costs of projects which aim to increase inclusion of diverse participants, develop cultural competencies, recruit diverse staff, or otherwise reduce the societal impact of exclusion.
Sponsorships for Schools: supporting the program costs of any school's participation in our preschool, child or teen programs,, depending on the needs of the institution or its students.
Development and Administration Costs: underwriting the administering of our programs, as consistent with best organizational practices.
