Zoe Sense-Grossberg

Zoe (she/her) is a New York based director, playwright, and teaching artist. Most recently she was a stage manager at Powerhouse Theater Training Company and the assistant director to Phoenix Theater's The Importance of Being Earnest. She has served as the literary director for Firebird Youth Theater since 2017 where she was a dramaturg, assistant director, and adapted six classical productions for teens. She has also been teaching playwriting since 2020. Her favorite directing credits include Sarah Ruhl's Orlando, Hamlet, and Caridad Svich's Twelve Ophelias. As a playwright, her work has won awards nationally and been honored with many staged readings. Her original play, At The End of The World, was recently given a full production with the Oberlin Student Theater Association. Zoe is also a classically trained vocalist with a passion for folk music. She is a proud alum of Wingspan Arts, LaGuardia High School, Powerhouse Training Company's Directing Apprenticeship, and Oberlin College.
