Inclusive Theatre Workshops
Chickenshed Players is a no-audition workshop and performance program. Over the course of two semesters Players have the opportunity of creating and devising an original production inspired from the Players' lived experiences on a range of themes as well as rehearsing and performing a fully scripted musical. Our inclusive methodology empowers each participant to contribute their ideas and creativity as they collaborate to produce life changing theatre. All performances incorporate professional actors and Guest Artists performing alongside the Players.
Through playful games and activities that fuel their imagination, children dive into all aspects of theatre making to explore The Power of Wonder, the central theme for this semester.
This semester children will be helping to create a new show Don't Stop Believin'. The overarching theme of this new theatre piece is to theatrically show how we can move towards a healthier world.
This semester Players create and devise Don't Stop Believin', a brand new show made entirely from recycled materials, from the set and costumes to the toe-tapping tunes.
Teens are emersed into the theatrical world of creating an original musical made entirely from recycled materials.
