Inclusive Theatre Workshops
Overview
This semester Players devise Don't Stop Believin', a brand new show made entirely from recycled materials, from the set and costumes to the toe-tapping tunes. The show takes inspiration from the participants_,_ young people here and internationally, famous figures from the past and present and the audience itself. Each performance features a unique and unmissable Recycle Rap, weaving in the words the audience have shared with us that day and written by the cast during the show.
Unlike other theatre companies some older Players may have the opportunity to act as group leaders and mentors as well during the semester whilst rehearsing within their own program, layering on and deepening our theatrical community.
Guest scientists and artists on themes such as pollution and food waste workshop with the Players inspiring and fueling ideas to be added into the show. These visits support everyone by adding knowledge and depth to the work being rehearsed as they prepare to perform.
